About Prof. Bram Roosens
Dr. Bram Roosens graduated as a doctor in 2008 and in 2016 as a cardiologist. In 2014 he completed his doctoral thesis titled 'Calibrated integrated backscatter for the quantitative assessment of calcific aortic valve disease in rats'. He is currently head of clinic in the UZ Brussel with a 50% scientific profile. In the clinical area he focuses on non-invasive cardiology (consultations, echocardiography). In the scientific area he is currently involved in projects concerning cardiac valve disease (aortic valve sclerosis, valvular endocarditis), cardio-oncology and imaging (echocardiography, FFR-CT). To date he has published some 25 articles in national and international journals either as the first author or co-author. He also supervises medical students and medical assistants in their clinical and scientific training.
