Neuro-inflammatory disorders
Neuromuscular diseases form a large group of rather rare pathologies. The most frequent of these include the following:
- Guillain-Barré syndrome
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Duchenne muscular dystrophy
- Steinert’s disease
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Inclusion Body Myositis
- etc.
The cause may be genetic, toxic, degenerative or inflammatory. These disorders are usually chronic and involve serious impairments.

Diagnosis
We can do various examinations to reach a diagnosis:
- Electrophysiological examination: ENMG
- Genetic examination
- A muscle or nerve biopsy

Treatment and follow-up
Depending on the type of neuromuscular disease, it may or may not be possible to prescribe a course of treatment or take supportive measures.
