Information
Upon admission, the neurologist talks to you and/or your contact person. The neurologist discusses the following aspects:
- Your current condition
- The possible cause of your stroke
- Expectations in the short term
- The policy to be followed in the short term
The treating doctor comes along to see you in the morning on weekdays during the room visit. He/she and the nurses consider your condition and he/she is informed of any particulars of the previous evening and night. During this room visit, you can ask any questions you might have.
After several days, the first results of the examinations come in and you and/or your partner or contact person can make an appointment with the treating doctor via the nurse.
The following matters may come up:
- Your current condition
- The possible cause of your stroke
- Expectations in the short and the long term
- The policy to be followed in the short and long term
- Results of the examinations
- Home situation
- The discharge policy
