Surgical treatments of lymphoedema

When non-surgical treatment is ineffective or insufficient, surgical treatment may be chosen in certain cases depending on the severity of the lymphoedema.

There are 3 surgical treatment options depending on the stage of the disease:

• Lymph shunt (stage 0, 1 and 2)
• Lymph node transplant (stage 2)
• Liposuction (stage 3)
