Sociale begeleiding

In addition to the nurses on your ward, you can also call on the Patient Counselling department. The social care nurses will assist you with all aspects of your hospitalisation.

You can contact a social care nurse through the nurses on the ward or directly by calling 02 477 88 01.

Interpreters and intercultural mediation

The UZ Brussel works with a broad network of interpreters, including for Flemish Sign Language. Intercultural mediators offer support to healthcare providers and patients when obstacles arise due to language and cultural barriers. 

Moral and spiritual guidance

During your admission, you can request the visit of a moral counsellor or a representative of one of the seven recognised faiths in Belgium or Buddhism through the nurses on your ward.
