About Dr. Ingrid Overeinder
Dr Ingrid Overeinder obtained her Master’s Degree in Cardiology in 2016 and has been working as a registrar in the Cardiology Department since then. In addition to publishing and supporting articles such as ‘Pulmonary embolism with large oscillating thrombus: an alternative approach’ she, together with Prof Argacha and Dr Lochy, is responsible for the Critical Care Unit at UZ Brussel. Dr Overeinder works mainly in the area of acute heart failure. She has acquired wide-ranging experience in a number of hospitals, including Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL) in Genk and the Onze Lieve Vrouw (OLV) hospital in Aalst. In addition to her regular outpatient clinics she provides a specialist heart failure clinic providing cardiac resynchronisation therapy for patients with advanced heart failure. Dr Overeinder is also an active member of the Belgian Working Group on Heart Failure and Cardiac Function (BWGHF) and the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association (ACCA).
