About Eveline Buyse
Eveline Buyse is a clinical psychologist in the Centre for Medical Genetics and the Centre for Reproductive Medicine. Since 2014 she has been working in the UZ Brussel after completing her studies in Clinical Psychology at the KU Leuven. Her interest is in assisting couples, men and women in their fertility journey (including donor parents and single mothers) and couples, women and men who during their pregnancy receive bad news and are confronted with uncertainty about whether to continue with a pregnancy. She is also interested in the psychological impact of genetic screening for known family/genetic conditions, with a specific interest in oncogenetics. She assists the person who wants to be tested genetically and his/her family members. In addition to her clinical activity, Eveline Buyse is also actively involved in research. She studies the development (cognitive and psychomotor) of children born after In Vitro Maturation (IVM), the impact of donor problems on prospective parents and various aspects of parenthood after egg acceptance.
