Over prof. dr. Danny Schoors
Danny Schoors is interventie-cardioloog in het UZ Brussel en verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van het cathlab, waar alle invasieve onderzoeken gebeuren. Daarnaast is hij ook verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van de urgente cardiologie. Hij is ook actief in de preventie van coronaire ziekte, in het bijzonder diabetes mellitus en arteriële hypertensie op vlak van atherosclerose. Hij is ook lid van de raad van bestuur van het Belgisch Hypertensie Comité.
Bovendien is hij hoogleraar aan de faculteit Geneeskunde en Farmacie van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel waar hij algemene fysiologie, hart- en vaatziekten, en elektrocardiografie doceert.
Verder is hij auteur van 80 publicaties in PubMed.
