Meals

Breakfast and dinner

For breakfast and dinner, we always serve brown bread with a variety of sweet and/or savoury fillings and toppings.

Lunch

At lunch, the kitchen serves a hot meal consisting of the soup of the day, a main course and dessert. Afterwards, you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee.

For quality reasons and for your own food safety, we recommend that you eat your meal within one hour after it has been delivered to your room.

Specific requirements

Please share any specific dietary requirements with the nutrition assistant who will visit you regularly. If you follow a specific diet, you can request the assistance of the unit’s dietitian. The nurses will happily provide further information. For your own safety, please do not bring your own food to the hospital.

Allergies and food intolerances

Are you allergic or food intolerant and are you worried about allergens in one of our preparations? Speak to the hospital dietitians. They will be happy to provide further information about the composition of our meals.

Fridges

The in-room fridges are ‘comfort’ fridges and must not be used to store critical foods (e.g. cold cuts, dairy-based desserts, etc.). Only store soft drinks, fruit or sweets in your in-room fridge.
