Treatments

New endoscopic techniques are applied for the treatment of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. These include:

• Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) for achalasia (a rare, chronic disease of the oesophagus)
• Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) of the pylorus for gastric emptying problems
