About Prof. dr. Sébastien Kindt
Prof. Sébastien Kindt is a clinical staff member in the Gastroenterology service at UZ Brussel. He studied at the Catholic University of KU Leuven and trained to become a gastroenterologist at UZ Leuven. He completed his doctoral thesis in 2008, entitled "Inflammation-mediated neuronal dysfunction in the upper gastro-intestinal tract". Prof. Sébastien Kindt carries out research into functional gastrointestinal disorders. He is principal investigator in phase II and III studies, as well as academic studies. He is also the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications. In addition, he is a member of the Flemish Gastroenterology Association (VVGE), the Belgian Network on GastroIntestinal Regulatory Mechanisms (GIREM), the Belgian microbiota and Helicobacter Study Group (BHPSG), the Belgian Society of GastroIntestinal Endoscopy (BSGIE), the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM) and the European Consortium for Eosinophilic Diseases of the GI tract (Eureos).
