Outpatients

Cardiology is the medical specialty that involves screening, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases affecting the heart. During a cardiology outpatient consultation the cardiologist will be aiming to explain most of your symptoms and treat them if possible.

During the cardiology consultation, after asking you a few questions and a physical examination, the cardiologist may use one or more of the following:

• An electrocardiogram
• An exercise test
• A holter recording
• A 24-hour blood pressure measurement
• An echocardiogram
