European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS)

The cardiac surgeons in the Cardiac Surgery department are members of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS). EACTS focuses on promoting education in relation to cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery, promotes research into cardiovascular and thoracic physiology, diseases and treatments, and aims to pool the results that are obtained and make them available for the benefit of the public.

Collaboration with the university hospital of Maastricht

The Cardiac Surgery department is involved in a structured collaboration with the university hospital of Maastricht, covering the minimally invasive and hybrid cardiac operations that take place each week.
