Patients with serious aortic disease are treated in collaboration with the Vascular Surgery department using a combination of surgical and cardiovascular techniques.
Surgeons Jan Nijs and Erik Debing specialise in treatment of aortic disease and offer the latest surgical techniques. An operation on your aorta or aortic valve can be done in the traditional way via ‘open’ surgery or as a ‘closed’ operation using percutaneous or endovascular techniques.
